Do our Ears Listen?

Proverbs:  Chapter 18 verse 15

The heart of the discerning

acquires knowledge;

the ears of the wise seek it out.

*

Dear God I pray today that we may have a more discerning heart,

a heart that yearns for knowledge of you God.

Let our ears listen to your voice

and may we be wiser today

than yesterday to seek your ways.  Amen.

Taken from the Book ‘Drink from the Cup’

How about that then?  We all do have EARS but do we actually use them as they should be used?  I mean do we really listen when someone is talking to us or do their words go in one ear and straight out the other?

Ears are meant for us to LISTEN – if we listen properly we may even learn something that we had not known before, that means that hopefully we may be a bit wiser than we were yesterday.

As Christians we are supposed to LISTEN to God our Heavenly Father but how many times do we take time to sit and pray?  Apart from talking to Him with all our wants and maybe complaints about the situation that we are in at the time do we then wait and hear what He would like to say to us?  Well no we don’t – mostly when we do pray we then get up and have a cuppa and start with what ever we want to do for the day.

This is where we need a discerning HEART to listen to God during our Prayer Time.  He is always there, He never sleeps and The Holy Spirit who is in us will help us with our Prayers.

Remember Jesus LOVES us and would like us to have more Knowledge, Wisdom and Discernment but the only way is to read the Holy Bible, even just a bit each day is sometimes enough to learn something else.  Then it is good to share with our Christian friends any new thing that we understand that we did not know before.

With the Knowledge and Wisdom that we have learnt

we can then share some of it with Children or young people.

Have a Lovely Day.

May God our Heavenly Father Bless us

today as we gain more

Wisdom and Knowledge in our daily lives.

Jesus is Alive

Easter time is Special – it is good to remember that:-

Jesus is Alive He has Risen from the dead and He is Alive!

Jesus is our Shepherd.

Jesus is Alive He has Risen from the dead and He is Alive!

The Oil Painting is by J.M.R. Larman and depicts Jesus as our Shepherd.

We are the Sheep of his pasture and He loves us and cares for us.

Psalm 26 verse 2

Test me, O Lord and try me, examine my heart and my mind;

***

Have you ever asked The Lord to examine your heart and mind?  It makes you wonder when He examines us what will He find?  I think it best to try to have a look into our own hearts before we ever ask The Lord to take a look.  Our minds are sometimes a minefield, full of things that they should not be full of.  We best get rid of some of the awful things that seem to come into our hearts and minds before we ask God to examine them.  Maybe best to start straight away!  Let me see have I let go of worry, anger?  Oh dear seems a lot of rubbish in there that should not be there, how about you?

The above is taken from the book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.

We are all individuals,

all different as people,

just as snowflakes are different

but are still snowflakes.

God made everyone according to a pattern.

  So we are made,

according to pattern.

We are made in the image of God.

Have a lovely day.

The Key

Does God hold the KEY to your Heart?

*****

Psalm 7  verse 10

My shield is God Most High,

who saves

the upright in heart.

***

When our heart is right with God He truly is our shield against the devil and all his ways.  We best watch out on the occasions when our heart is not right toward God.  That is when sin can enter in and God will not be our shield to stop it entering.  Today let us try to be right in our hearts and in our thinking.

Key Blue

Well where are we up to today, can we say that God is the Key to our heart, can we say that God is our shield against all evil.  Let us pray that we truly can.

*

*  God Bless you today  *

Please do not loose that precious KEY.

Charm is deceptive

Mother& Child

Proverbs: Chapter 31  verse 30

Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting:

but a woman who fears The LORD

is to be praised.

*****

I like to think that this Scripture applies to all Mankind.  We know that you are an awesome God.  It is a Holy Fear that you want us to have, not that we should be frightened of you because you are the God of Love and in perfect love there is no fear.  So if there is no deceit in our hearts then we may be praised and will  be able to give to you all the Glory that you desire from us.  So may my beauty be in knowing you today and forever more.  Amen.

Well what do you think about Charm?…..Some people are really Charming…..not just women but men also…. and I think that God likes to look into the hearts of all of us.

When we are walking in the love of Jesus, then our hearts will be free of fear and people will see the peace and beauty on our face.

We can be praised for the beauty that is within our hearts.  As Christians –  people will want to know what we have that they have not got.  That will be praise indeed for us that we can give God the Glory knowing that our beauty whether we be man or woman is within us.  (That Jesus is in our Heart)

So the outward appearance of ourselves (even though we keep ourselves nice) is not the be all and end all of things.

Our beauty needs to be on the inside so that it can radiate to those that The Lord brings before us each day.

…..

* Praise the Lord for His Goodness and Love towards us each Day.*

Well – there doesn’t seem much to say about the above except that sometimes we are fearful to even think about looking into our own heart to see if there is any wrong thoughts or things in there that we are holding on to.  Mainly things that we really don’t want God to see or even for us to deal with.

So what can we do?

The best thing I suppose is to pray and ask Jesus to show us what we need to do – I am sure He will highlight anything that is hidden, things that have been too hard for us to deal with.

Remember when we bring them into the light – that is to repent and ask Jesus to take them away – then Hope begins to dawn in our hearts to refresh and renew us by The Holy Spirit.

When that happens it is as if a load has been taken off of us – if it was a sin lurking in the heart then it would be good to let it go and Praise the Lord for His unfailing Love to us.

SecretDoor

There is a Secret Door to the Heart that no one but God and ourselves can see.

God Bless you today as you may begin to think of these things.
