Ripple on a Pond.
The above is one of my Oil Paintings…..yes it has a pond on it so thought it would good on here.
Job: Chapter 1 – verse 21.
“Naked I came from my mothers’ womb and naked I shall depart.
The Lord gave and The LORD has taken away:
may the name of The LORD be praised”
***
The above was said by Job and it is true, naked we came into this world and naked we shall leave it. So while we are here let us bless those around us as best we can especially our family. Let us see them enjoy some of the assets we would eventually leave them when we die by giving now while we are alive. Let us share in their enjoyment. Maybe it could be just a special little heirloom we are saving for them, or, maybe finance we are saving for them. If they are in need as some young families are, let us be gracious and try to help. Today let us remember – we cannot take anything with us when we go, that also includes our love. let them know you love them. Our families do need our love more than maybe they or we realize. The LORD surely blesses us as we bless others.
Today let us think on our nakedness before The LORD.

Here is the Poem that I wrote about being a Ripple on a Pond…
Are You a Ripple on a Pond. ?
Are you a Ripple on a Pond?
Do you see what I see? Can you pray for those who cannot pray?
Will you pray for those who cannot see? Are you a Ripple on a Pond.?
Like a pebble thrown into the middle, our prayers can go out and around
in a never ending and expanding circle. Are you a ripple on a pond?
Do you see beyond the horizon? Will your words or works reach out
in that never ending circle of prayer? I pray I am a Ripple on a Pond.
My prayers going forth throughout the world, for those lost souls to be gathered in
and for everyone of them to be cleansed from sin.
Do try to be a Ripple, even starting with a trickle, of prayer and praise.
Like a pebble creating waves on a Pond, may your Prayers go forward even beyond.
So are you a Ripple on a Pond?
With prayers, reach far beyond all that you see. Look and use your spiritual eyes for Jesus.
Do something for Him that really, really pleases.

Love Disciplines (Corrects) !
Proverbs 13 verse 24
He who spares the rod hates his son
but
he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
***
This does not mean that we should go about hitting our children with a rod until they cower before us. It does mean that we must discipline them in a way that they will understand not to do that bad thing again.
As children of God did you know that God disciplines us?
Because He loves us He is constantly correcting us, that is how it should be with us and our natural children.
They must not be allowed to do just as they like, when and how they like, neither can we in God’s Kingdom.
Today let us rejoice that Our Father in Heaven loves us so much that He disciplines us with love.

Do you like Comfort?
On the Wings of an Eagle let your Spirit Soar.
Psalm 34 verse 18
The LORD is close to the broken-hearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
***
We all get broken-hearted and crushed in our spirit at sometime during our lives here on this earth. Let us remember to come to God at those times, sit at His feet, give Him our burdens and He will comfort us by His Holy spirit, whom Jesus sent to be our comforter. Today if this is a day of any sort of burden for you, please know that God is very close to you.

What else can we say about comfort?
Sometimes it is nice to just have a cup of tea, that can be a comfort when we get a bit stressed with whatever is going on during the day.
We should make time to have some kind of comfort for ourselves …… that can be things that give us pleasure, maybe going for a walk, gardening, craft work anything that we are able to do and enjoy doing can be called a comfort I think. For myself I like to do ‘Oil Paintings, Water colours, Pen/Ink drawings – they can be called my comfort zone. Also the books that I write can take me out of the everyday world into the lovely world of writing.
Another kind of comfort is to curl up in bed when we are not feeling very well. That is a great comfort to lay there and pray for the sickness or painfulness to go away. As we lay there in our comfort zone it is a good time to pray for others who maybe in need of some prayer, then some of our discomfort goes away!
Remember – The Holy Spirit is our Comforter…… however – we do need to ask Him to comfort us and He will. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to help us, guide us and comfort us. That is a marvelous thing to remember when we are in need of any kind of help or comfort.
Praise The Lord He can comfort us, wherever we may be in this world.

It’s Good to be a Christian
In the Bible Paul says .. in –
Romans Chapter 1 verse 16.
“I’m not ashamed of the Gospel
because it’s the Power of God
unto salvation to those who believe.”
***
If you are a Christian that is marvellous and I can say God Bless you.
If you are not a Christian and would like to be one here below is a way to become one.
If you do really mean that you would like Jesus to be with you – just repent of your sins – tell Him you are sorry for all the wrong things you have done throughout your life and ask Him to come into your heart (your life) and He will.
***
When we are Christians we have a direct line to God our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ His Son. That is awesome, also we have The Holy Spirit in us to help us to pray.
If you are not sure how to pray it is good to pray The Lord’s Prayer. Which you can find in your Bible:
THE LORDS PRAYER.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the Power and Glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

The Secret Place
Psalm 139 verse 15
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
***
God made us specially in that secret place,
we must be very precious to Him.
today let us ask if there is anything special
that He would like us to do for Him
instead of asking for something for ourselves.
He must be so pleased when the creatures that He has made
show respect and love for Him and His Kingdom.

So what can we do that will be special today or maybe each day that will be pleasing to Our Father in Heaven. One thing we can do is to try to be kind to those who come before use each day. That would be a good thing to do.
Do you have a Special Place that you go to sometimes to Pray or talk to The Lord Jesus. Maybe a special chair to sit in to Pray or a Special Room. Or do you choose a Special Time each day to Pray. I think any of these things will be pleasing to God.
May God Bless us as we try our best to Pray to Him in that Secret Place.
Have a Lovely Day Today.
The Right Words
The Painting is of a Billabong in North West Australia that I painted in ‘Oils’
One of the lovely places that The Lord allows us see and to visit.
We do not have to worry about any right words to say about places like this
– just to look and enjoy them is enough.
***
Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 19-20.
Pray also for me, that when ever I open my mouth,
words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains.
Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
***
It was Paul who said the above,
however I believe it applies to all of us who walk with Jesus and want to declare the Gospel.
Sometimes we feel that we are not free to declare the gospel but we are free
and must ask that The Lord make the way for us to speak out to those souls around us
who are in darkness who do not know Jesus.
Let us pray that when we open our mouths that the right words also be given to us today.
***
The above is taken from the Book.. ‘Drink from the Cup’
So there may be a lesson in the above for us to think about how we speak to our family and friends. It makes a lot of difference when we speak kindly to each other – not just about sharing the Gospel but in our everyday lives. Our children and friends know how we feel sometimes by the way that we are speaking. If we feel sad, happy, angry etc., they can know by the tone of our voice. Also if we condemn someone for doing wrong it is not good to shout at them, let us try to tell them in a kind way so they do not feel too bad about whatever it is we are trying to get them to put right. Well at least we can but try.

Our Treasures*
Proverbs: Chapter 10 verse 2
Ill-gotten treasurers are of no value
but righteousness delivers from death.
*
That is true isn’t it? If we have something that we have received wrongly, however much we treasure it we will still have that feeling of guilt i.e. that it is an ill-gotten thing.
We really can’t take anything that we know God does not want us to have.
What a release in our spirit we feel when we give back or release those wrong Treasures.
Jesus forgives and we are back in righteousness, delivered from the feeling of death and can rejoice in our righteousness. Praise The Lord!
*

So what wonderful Treasures do we have that maybe we should not have? Perhaps they could be some ungodly Books, or ungodly D.V.D’s maybe C.D’s
What about all the Treasures on our Computers? Could be Treasure’s of ungodly photo’s – hidden in a file for privacy. But God can see all things whether they be righteous or unrighteous.
Let us search our hearts and get rid of all that is not O.K.
We don’t have to ask or tell anyone about it – just do it – ask Jesus for forgiveness – feel the release in our spirit and get on with life as it should be lived in Righteousness and Truth.
It is a lovely feeling to be able to share the Love of The Lord when we are really walking in a bit more holiness.
