*Do Something Nice today *

1 Corinthians: Chapter 15 verse 58.

Therefore,

my dear brothers,

stand firm.

 Let nothing move you.

 Always give yourselves fully

to the work of The Lord,

because you know

that your labour in The Lord

is not in vain.

***

Our labour in The Lord is definitely not in vain.

He sees all the things that we do for Him.

Everything is recorded of our works.

So today maybe we could do something nice for The Lord Jesus.

So what then is our labour in The Lord?  I believe it is mostly to keep the Ten Commandments that were given all those years ago to Moses.  Well, some people think that we do not need to read the Old Testament in the Bible but we do need to heed what it says.

If you have never read the Old Testament feel free to give it a go.

You may be surprised and learn something new each day.  You only need to read a bit each day, it’s no good just reading it if you cannot digest what it is saying and just reading for the sake of saying that you have read it.  Take your time and just read a few verses at a time so that  you can understand more fully what those verses really mean.  There is no hurry and just a few minutes at the same time each day will make a lot of difference.

So to do something nice today – would be perhaps to get up and go for a walk and say ‘Hello’ to someone.  Or to visit someone you know who has not been able to go out for a while.  We can take a little gift, perhaps a posy of Flowers, a packet of Biscuits to stay and have a cuppa with them.  If you have made extra cake or cakes, someone may appreciate your visit if you take some to them.

We don’t always have to stay and talk – just deliver your gift to them at the door and say * God Bless * to them.

That I believe – is  also working or doing something for the Lord Jesus.

We can’t all be in the limelight doing great things but I am sure that The Lord acknowledges our efforts to help our families and friends.

One of the Commands is to Love our Neighbours as ourselves…….a bit difficult sometimes but never the less it is a Commandment that we should think about…..well you may ask who is my neighbour?  Just the normal people we meet each and every day, I think that they are our neighbours in this world.

* May God Bless Us Today

as We Stand Firm

to do the Work of The Lord *

What about The Spirit

Luke: Chapter 4 verses 18-19

“The Spirit of The Lord is on me,

because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor,

He has sent me to proclaim freedom

for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to release the oppressed,

to proclaim the year of The Lord’s favour”

*

Today we can proclaim the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise Him that He will anoint us to do so.

Let us ask for His special anointing of The Holy Spirit afresh today.

From the Book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.

*

The above Scripture was spoken by Jesus but we should remember that He has asked us also to tell people about Him.  To proclaim the Gospel of the Lord is to let others know about our Lord Jesus, about God our Heavenly Father and about The Holy Spirit.      We should not  be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ because as it is written in the Holy Bible – the Gospel is to be preached throughout the world before Jesus comes back again.

As Christians we know this but really speaking we rarely talk about the Lord to our friends, family or workmates.  Why are we hesitant  to do this?

Mainly because we do not like being ridiculed but Jesus said that we as Christians will be made to look foolish sometimes when we talk about Him to unbelievers……..But how are they going to know if we do not speak out the truth so that they too came come into Salvation before they leave this earth.

All we have to do is to plant the seed of the faith that we have and tell them what we believe and The Holy Spirit may even convict them of His Presence.

A friend and I talked a long time ago and we agreed with each other that once you have lived with The Holy Spirit in your life you would never want to live without Him.

Jesus sent Him to be our Comforter, our Guide in our everyday living – He is the Spirit of Jesus –  we need no other Spirit to Guide us.  He is with us forever when we invite Jesus into our heart – that is into our life –

And do you know that our God (Our Father in Heaven) loves us and He never sleeps – He will hear us when we pray day or night where ever we are.  So Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to help us to Pray.

Why not give Jesus a go if you have not already done so.

He is just waiting to hear from you.

If you have never thought of asking Jesus to be in your life, now is a good time to ask Him if He would like to be part of your life – you may be surprised that He would say yes if you would like to have Him.  You need to mean it though, we cannot be flippant as it is quite an important step to take, because then you would be a Christian and belong to the Kingdom of God.  What an honour that would be.

* Have a lovely Day today *

* May God Bless You *

This is the Day !

This is the Day that The Lord has made

Let us Rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm: 19 verse 1

The heavens declare the Glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

*

Yes LORD the heavens do declare your Glory and in the skies we can see the work of your hands.
Today let us declare the work of God.

The wonders that God has already done in our lives.

Let us say to our friends and neighbours Praise The LORD !

The above is taken from the Book “Drink from the Cup” by J.M.R.Larman.

Sometimes it is hard for us to Praise The Lord for the day, when we are overwhelmed by the circumstances that we are sometime living in.  But we need to stop and think even for a moment of the good things that God our Heavenly Father has given to us.  Also for the things that He has done for us.

We can pray and thank Him for maybe our health, our family, our finances, our home, our food, our clothing, our friends.  Even – we can thank Him for the weather, maybe it is too hot or too cold, too windy, too wet whatever it is it is not going to be perfect how we would like it.  However God is in charge of all these things and we need to remember that he allows us to be where we are most times because of our choosing as He has given us free will and will not use us a puppet’s.

Remember we have a choice to make – shall we or shan’t we do this or that?

Well as Christians we are to pray – to ask first if it is God’s will what we should do or say, especially in difficult circumstances.

We need to stop and remember

‘This is the Day that The Lord has made”

So therefore maybe we can at some stage in the day – rejoice and be glad in it (in the day I mean) !

May God our Heavenly Father Bless us today

as we walk with Jesus and His Holy Spirit.

God Bless You.
