Pure Joy
James Chapter 1 verses 2-3
Consider it pure joy,
my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that
the testing of your faith develops
perseverance.
***
We don’t usually face trials with joy do we? If only we could use our faith more in the difficult circumstances, persevere in faith and let God be in charge instead of ourselves, we would find life much easier. Maybe you are in a difficult situation today, remember the disciples – we must have faith even as small as a mustard seed. Let us not give up in the testing of our faith, don’t let the devil have the upper hand, especially today.
The above is taken from the book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.
***
Well – how can we express Joy our Joy – it can be through singing, not sad songs of course but uplifting Songs or Hymns. Do you know that satan does not like us to be happy or to sing or to have any sort of Joy. So to make him move away from us we need to start rejoicing in our God, even to just thank Him for our Blessings, which when we begin to think of it are many. We must have that perserverance like the Bible says to walk in Faith however small our Faith is – it is better than having none.
Remember the weakest Christian on his knees is enough to make the devil tremble.
So give it a go some time and don’t be robbed of your Joy.

* I Pray that you have some sort of pure joy today *
* God Bless You *

Worldly Things
Psalm 23 verse 3
He restores my soul,
He guides me in paths
of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
*****
Thank you LORD that you restore my soul, so that I do not long for worldly things but can walk in righteousness to the best of the ability that you give me today. Amen.
*****
Here is a Prayer – mainly about Righteousness – hope you like it – For myself I think that is is special and that it can help us walk closer to God our Heavenly Father and to Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Prayer is taken from the Book “Drink from the Cup” by J.M.R.Larman.
It is good to read the above prayer but it is only worthwile to PRAY this prayer if we really mean it.
*
So there we are then, if our Soul is happy and content we need not crave or long for lots of worldly things. Really, we are supposed to be content in all circumstances knowing that God will supply all our needs in Christ Jesus when we belong to Him. How wonderful it is to belong to the living God and not to an inhuman idol that cannot walk or talk or heal or sing. The idols have no soul but we have one and our God does restore our Soul when necessary.
* May God Bless you today with all that you need *

Wisdom – do you have it?
James: Chapter 1 verse 5
If any of you lacks wisdom,
he should ask God,
who gives generously to all
without finding fault
and it will be given to him.
****
I love wisdom, how about you? How ever naive or unskilled we are, if we ask God for wisdom He gives it to us – the above verse says – generously. We can all be wise but we must remember to ask for wisdom, what a privilege to be able to ask and receive!
The above is taken from the Book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.
*****
Here us a nice clean Scroll……. we do need Wisdom to be able to write something sensible on it. Just a small amount of Wisdom is all we need to write something. But to write something really important or to try to judge what is right or wrong we need maybe a bit more Wisdom.
Remember – Solomon aked God for Wisdom – you can read about Solomon in – (1Kings: Chapter 3) in your Holy Bible.
Wisdom helps us to make wise decisions which was something that Solomon was able to do when he had to intervene in a dispute by the two women.
Let us try to be wise today and each day as we continue to walk in peace and love with each other while we live on this earth.
I Pray that God will bless you with extra Wisdom when you need it – but – yes there is a but – and that but is that you need to Ask before you can receive.
* Have a lovely Day *
* God Bless you *

Can you Sing?
Psalm 13 verse 6
I will sing to
The LORD,
for He as been
good to me.
***
The LORD loves to hear us sing,
so what are we waiting for – Let us: Sing,
sing, sing – today.
*****
The above is from the book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by: J.M.R.Larman.
***
Do you know that God gave us each a voice and one of the things He likes us to do with it is to Sing – mainly to sing to Him. There are so many lovely Songs and Hymns that we can sing.
If you can talk you cannot say that you can’t sing, because it does not matter if you cannot compete with others with your voice because yours is special to God our Heavenly Father and He likes to hear you Sing and Praise Him with your own voice.
Even in the shower, the car, the house, outside in the garden or just walking along you can use your voice to sing quietly or out loud. However the best songs will come when you sing them as a prayer from your heart as a blessing to The Lord Jesus.
If you ask The Holy Spirit I am pretty sure He will help you to Sing – especially in the Congregation in your Church, think how lovely to have the Angels sing with you in the Congregation.
Well how about putting on a C.D. and just singalong with it while doing the housework or chores around the house where you live. Remember that depression starts to flee away when we sing – as long as it is something nice that we like.
Let the Trumpet sound and let our voice be heard to Praise The Lord our God. Amen.

* God Bless you today –
as you may try a new Song *

Have you Sinned?
Reverse Copy of Scraperboard Drawing

Romans Chapter 3 verse 23.
“For all have sinned
and
come short
of the glory of God”
*****
It sad that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. But Jesus has forgiven our sins and we can press on today knowing that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. So don’t be weighed down by sin, if you have committed a fresh sin, repent, ask Jesus to forgive you, thank Him and press on in faith and have a good day.
The above is taken from the book “Drink from the Cup” by J.M.R. Larman.
*****
Well there we are then – how about a fresh start today to look at what really is sin in our life. It could be anything small or big, it is all the same to God our Heavenly Father whether we tell a lie or commit a terrible crime….sin is sin…
God sent His only Son Jesus to forgive us and save us from the evil one. So we have to try to not give in to things that are not Godly.
When we have Jesus in our life it is a bit easier to stand firm and try our best not to give in to unholy things, even like gossip, pride, stealing, lying, there is quite a long list I think but we can overcome with the help of The Holy Spirit, who is our comforter and guide.
*****
God Bless You Today.
I Pray that you and me can have a Sinless Day.

Jesus knew…..
Drawing of Key by J.M.R. Larman.
……………………….
St. John Chapter 13 verse 3
Jesus knew that the Father had put
all things under His power
and
that He had come from God
and
was returning to God;
***
As Christians we have been given the Power that Jesus bestowed upon us to use for His Kingdom while we live on this earth, then when our time is right we shall return to God our maker in Heaven to be with Jesus. Let us make good use today of that divine power and walk in the love of The Lord Jesus.
Taken from the book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by: J.M.R.Larman.
***
So the Key to the Power of the Kingdom of God is Jesus, he has bestowed on us Power to use by His Holy Spirit indwelling in us when we have accepted Jesus as Lord of our life. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus, who helps us to pray, who opens the door to the throne room of God, who will hear our Prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What a privilage to be able to Pray to our Heavenly Father at any time day or night. Remember The Holy Spirit never sleeps He is with us always, to comfort and guide us, teach us and lead us in the ways of The Kingdom of God. Now that must be Power indeed.
Did you know that I beleive The Dove represents
the Holy Spirit.
*****
* Have a Lovely Powerful Day walking
in the Power of Jesus,
in Peace & Love & Joy
to share with others *

Room for God?
St. Georges Church. Carnarvon. W.A. Pen/Ink Drawing by:J.M.R.Larman.
Psalm 10 verse 4
In his pride the wicked does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is
no room for God.
***
Let us try to make a bit more room in our hearts today for God, our thoughts come from our hearts and out of our mouth the heart speaks. People will know if we have made room for God by the things we say, let our thoughts today be more holy.
Taken from the book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman
***
Well this may make us think about the pride that we have in our hearts……Pride is a sin…..so let us look into our heart today to see if there is any pride in there. Pride does push God out somehow, especially when we think we are really clever to get things done our way, making us feel better than the next person.
Pride can take many forms and sometimes pushes people away from us, when they think they cannot compete with us.
Let us try to get rid of pride for a start from our heart and ask God to come in and help us with our everyday tasks.
***
*God Bless You today*
Have a lovely day with room in your heart for God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ His Son, not forgetting The Holy Spirit who helps us when we ask for help in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in.

Creation
St. John: Chapter 1 verse 3
Through Him all things were made;
without Him nothing was made
that as been made.
*
Look around today and see the wonder of
God’s Creation.
It is beautiful and so are you.
God made you just as you are
and
He loves you.
*
So I would like to say that Evolution does not stand a chance againt Creation. Only our Soveriegn God can make a Snowflake for instance and do you know that they are all different from each other, you can possibly check that out. They are incredible.
Likewise all Flora and Fauna.
I Pray that you have a lovely day and maybe check out some of the marvels of Creation – even just a flower or a leaf, a tree or a human being. As humans we are incredibly made in the secret place in the womb before we are born into this world.
* GOD BLESS YOU *

A Son
St. John: Chapter 1 verse 12
But as many as received Him,
to them gave He power
to become the sons of God,
even to them that
believed on His name:
*
We must believe on the Name of Jesus if we want to be a Son of God. Are you a Son of God? If not how about inviting Jesus into your heart today, even this minute, so that you can be a Son of the most High God. It is something us as Christians treasure, having Jesus in our hearts.
***
The above is taken from the book:
‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.
***
To be a Son of God is a bit different than being a Son of your earthly Father. How can we describe the difference – well that is difficult if you have not experienced it for yourself.
One of the main things is that when you are a Son of God then He is your Heavenly Father, you belong to His family with Jesus His Son as your Saviour and Brother, with The Holy Spirit (that is The Spirit of Jesus that Jesus sent to be with us when He went back up to Heaven).
So we not only have Jesus in our hearts but the whole Trinity
– Father, Son and Holy Ghost –
We are never alone.
So when our earthly father dies and is gone from this life, we as Christians have our Heavely Father with us forever through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That can be a great comfort to know this.
*****
Have a lovely Day today knowing that as a Christian we are never alone.
