Can we say No?

Proverbs: Chapter 1 verse 10
My Son,
if sinners entice you,
do not give in to them.

If someone asks you to sin today please say no!
It’s as simple as that, the devil cannot make us do wrong things it is up to us to choose.
So let us try today not to do those wrong things.
In any case it will save us having to ask Jesus to forgive us again for that sin.
That’s worth thinking about!

Well how can we say NO when other people ask us to do something that we really should not do? It is very difficult when it is a friend or a family member that asks us that awkward question. The best thing I think is to say (I will have to think about it) that gives us time to wait until a suitable moment to say – No sorry I can’t do that.
If they persist -then you need to give some sort of explanation as to why you are saying NO !
If you are a Christian you can say that it is against what you believe and that you really prefer not to do – whatever it is they are asking you to do. BUT we must stop feeling guilty when we say NO…
If it is the right thing to say – then there is no reason to feel really bad about it.
Remember the Devil cannot make us say YES to do that wrong thing – it is up to us – we should be in control of what we are saying. If you are still not sure just think and ask yourself (What would Jesus do?)

I am so glad that Mary was obedient, because if she had not given birth to Jesus where would you and I be today? It does not bear to think about it! Praise God today for the birth of Jesus who also was obedient to our Heavenly Father to the extent of dying on The Cross for yours and my sins. I Praise you Heavenly Father that You allowed Your only Son Jesus to come to earth to save us from certain death. Thank You that we choose 25th. December to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ our Lord being born on this earth. Amen.

Well maybe today we can pray for whoever The Lord brings before us in the Spirit or in the Flesh. People who come into our lives each day are deserving of our prayers and also maybe our help. Each day is a New Day to start afresh to do something nice for people. Maybe it could be just a kind word to our friends and family. Especially to the children who are in our lives and those who are in great need of their parents love. We can pray that their needs be met and they are fed and watered throughout the world today……………..
If we are unable to go out we can keep in touch with others by phone, or a card or letter, maybe on the internet is quite appropriate in this day and age. Our God – our Heavenly Father has given each of us something to do, or someone to pray for: We are all different but we are one in The Lord. Jesus loves us just as we are yes – that is you and me and supplies all our needs. What more could we ask?
May God Our Heavenly Father Bless You Today and grant you all your needs. (remember not your wants but your needs)

Being children of God means that we choose to love Jesus.
So as the Psalm say’s, when we acknowledge His Name
He protects us and rescues us from all our iniquities.

If we are old or young – when we are a Christian we are a child of God.
I mean a child of God our Father in Heaven – the Father of Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Saviour.
It is good to know that God Loves each one of us, whoever we are, wherever we are.
God can see us during the daylight or during the night when it is dark. He never sleeps and can be with us always when we have invited Jesus into our Life. (into our heart)
When we have Jesus in our heart we have the Trinity – that means we have God The Father and the Holy Spirit as well as Jesus i.e. Three in one.
So how can you say that you are lonely when you have The Holy Spirit to talk to and fellowship with Him day and night.
I know we can be lonely – wanting and needing a human being to talk to sometimes and that is only natural – think of this – we are never alone, never because The Spirit of Jesus – The Holy Spirit – The Comforter whom Jesus sent to be with us when He went back to Heaven is with us in our heart.
So there we are, as Christians we are truly blessed with the Love of The Lord Jesus.
This is the day that the Lord has made,
let us be glad and rejoice in it.

Blessings of the Upright
Proverbs: Chapter 11 verse 11
Through the blessing of the upright
a city is exalted
but
by the mouth of the wicked
it is destroyed.

Just think right where you are, you can be a blessing to the city or town that you live in. In your own community you can be a blessing, by praying and being in the love of Jesus day by day. We are not all called to go out to be a prominent person in our community but by prayer and supplication we as Christians can make a great difference in the city around us. Today let us pray for the place that we live in, for peace to prevail and for the mouth of the wicked to be cleansed.

So the above gives us food for thought to begin to pray for where-ever we are living at the moment.
We can pray for the people that live around us – for them to be nice to each other, to give help when needed especially to the young Mums and Dads and the older people in the town.
Young people do not need us to interfere with their way of bringing up their children but we can at least pray for them to have wisdom in the decisions that they have to make in our ever changing world.
As for the older people in our town let us pray especially for good health for them and help given where they need it most.
These things are not too hard for us to do because some of us cannot just go out and alter things that we see need to be done in our towns but to pray is something special that as Christians we really need to be doing.
We shall see results of our prayer sometimes and that is a good thing to encourage us to carry on caring for the place where we are living.
May God Bless us today as we pray for the place where we are living at the moment.

Ascribe to The LORD,
O Mighty Ones,

We may not be mighty ones but we can give The LORD Glory by the things we say and do each day. Let us do something nice for The Lord Jesus today through Him God will receive the Glory from us! One thing we can do is to praise and thank Him for our Salvation and how blessed we are through Jesus.

So today maybe we can really pray and thank our Heavenly Father, not just for all the blessings that he allows us to have but we can thank Him for Jesus Christ who is the Lord of our lives when we have invited him into our hearts.
Well, we can also give God the Glory because allows The Holy Spirit to be with us today and always while we live on this earth.
The Holy Spirit – is the Spirit of Jesus
and is our
helper and comforter.
I am grateful that we can talk to Jesus through His Holy Spirit who never sleeps and will be here for us day and night.
We can talk to Him and give him all our fears and worries and then feel the comfort of The Lord Jesus.

Well there we are….how well do we LISTEN…..to our earthly fathers instruction…..not always very well do we because then off we go to do our own thing. Not always to our advantage might I say.!
So this makes me think – how well do we LISTEN to God our Heavenly Father.
It is hard to LISTEN to God with so much going on in our lives. However if we can find a time each day to sit and read part of our Bible then is the time we can sit quietly and LISTEN when we have prayed for something or someone special. We may not get the answer we want but be assured that if you are a Christian then God has heard your prayers. So then we wait for His will to be done in the situation that we are praying for.
