Beauty
Psalm 93 verse 1
The LORD reigns,
He is robed in majesty;
The LORD is robed in majesty
and is armed with strength.
*
To see you in your majesty LORD would be wonderful,
while we live on this earth we can only imagine your glory,
with angels around you crying holy, holy, holy.
Although you are mighty in majesty,
you are our strength,
those of us who belong to you through Jesus Christ our Lord,
praise you LORD God in your beauty and majesty.
From: ‘Drink from the Cup’ Book. By: J. M. R. Larman.
***
Have you ever thought about the Angels being around the throne of God our Heavenly Father.
They must be very beautiful.
No eye has ever seen the Glory of God.
However we can experience His Glory of peace, love, joy, also contentment.
They must surely be part of His Glory.
The beauty of the Universe, the sky, the sea, all living creatures – are surely part of His Glory.
Let us take time to appreciate the creation of this earth, our families, our friends, the butterflies, the birds, the new born babies of all species including us human beings.
As for us we were born in the likeness of God i.e. the likeness of Jesus, not in the likeness of Monkey’s or Apes.
So let us think that sometimes the Glory of God can be around us in the Sunsets, the Moon Light, also in our everyday lives – then we can Praise God for all His Blessings towards us.

May God Bless you and your loved ones today.

WE CAN
2 Corinthians Chapter 2 verse 10
Godly sorrow brings repentance
that leads to salvation
and leaves no regret
but worldly sorrow brings death.
***
When we truly repent our hearts can sing because we know that we are forgiven, that we will definitely try not to offend God in the way that we used to. Godly sorrow is good because although we can be sad about the circumstance that has arisen we are blessed so much when we take hold of the fact that Jesus has forgiven us and that our sin is blotted out from Our Father in Heaven. In worldly sorrow there can be no joy, in Godly sorrow Jesus rejoices that we repent and grants us peace in our hearts.

This was going to be a Poem……but never mind, I hope you like what is written. It is called:
WE CAN
We are in this world of sin – We do not have to take part in it
We have been given a conscience – We can choose to do right or to sin
We can do all lovely things – We can sing and dance
We can eat and drink – We can love or not love
We can swim or drown – We can walk or run
We can write or draw – We can choose what we want
We can help others or not help – We can do all these things
We can do so much in this world – We can do good things instead of bad
We can decide not to sin – We can use our brain to decide
We can use our heart to discern – We can love The Lord our God
We can love each other – We can therefore have no need to sin.

It’s good to make Music !
Psalm: 92 verse 1
It is good to praise The LORD
and
make music
to your name,
O Most High.
*
The Lord Jesus and God our Father loves to hear music either by singing or by playing an instrument. If you are not gifted to play a musical instrument them lift up your voice and sing. You cannot say you cannot sing because God gave you your voice and He loves to hear it, so sing in your house, sing in the bath or shower, sing in the car but best of all sing in the congregation.
From the book: ‘Drink from the Cup of Heavenly Blessings’ by J.M.R. Larman.
*
Well – can you Sing Today?
?
Maybe you do not feel like singing, so perhaps you can put on some special Music that you like.
In your own home you can be free to dance and sing on your own or with your family.
If you have a small child what better way to interact than to hold their little hands dance around with them and sing.
If you are an older person look up some of the old Hymns that you used to like and sing quietly to The Lord in your Prayer Time…….remember you still have a singing voice in their somewhere. You may surprise yourself that your song sounds very nice.
Everyone likes some sort of Music so put on the sort that you especially like or that you can sing to.
There is a time and place for different kinds of Music during the course of our day (or days)
* Have a lovely Day today *
May God Bless you with the Voice that He has given you.

Adopted Children
Here is a beautiful photo of children playing in the lovely Wildflowers.
As Christians we are Children in Gods Kingdom.
*****
Ephesians: Chapter 1 verse 5
Having predestined us to be adopted
as His children through Jesus Christ,
to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will.
***
Imagine God loving us so much that He wants us to be part of His own family! When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, Jesus then becomes our Brother and God becomes our Spiritual Father.
We belong to the King of Kings, the God of God’s.
We are very precious to our Heavenly Father.
Taken from Book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.
***
It is good to be a Child of God, who is our Heavenly Father. Yes we are God’s Adopted Children when we accept Jesus God’s Son as our Saviour. With Jesus in our lives it makes a lot of difference to many of us just to know that we do have a Father in Heaven who cares for us even more than our earthly father does.
Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever, His love does not change towards us.
He does not make us love Him.
He has given us a choice, we are not puppets, we have free will to choose His Son Jesus or not to,
it is up to us to decide.
All I can say is: that a friend and I agreed – once you have lived with the Holy Spirit (who is the Spirit of Jesus) you would not want to live without Him in your life. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to be with us after He went back to Heaven after dying on the Cross for us, so that we would not be left as orphan’s but could be part of the family of God.
It is good to have a Father, if we are not fortunate enough to have an earthly one – as Christians we can be sure of a Heavenly one.

Guard my Mouth

Drawing of an old old Roman Doorway.
————-
Psalm 141 verse 3
Set a guard over my mouth,
O LORD;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.
Sometimes I think it is a good thing to ask The LORD to put a guard over my mouth to stop me saying something wrong and then wishing that I had not said it. As Christians we must be very careful what we say to others so that we do not offend them because in doing so we offend God if we do not speak righteously. Today please God guard my mouth, the door of my lips and my speaking. Amen.
From book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.
*****
Why put a drawing of an old Roman Doorway on here…….well as you may know they were very very large for horses and carriages to go through.
The doorway of our heart is our mouth…..our tongue especially is the instrument that speaks.
Mostly as you can imagine our tongue is untamed.
So we need to tame our tongue, lets face it we can never do that on our own. The best idea is to ask The Lord to help us to speak in the way that He would prefer us to speak to others.
i.e. to encourage and not put them down.
But no, we have to have our say – whatever it may be with not a thought sometimes how it will affect the person we are talking to.
We should remember that: out of the Heart the Mouth speaks.
When we speak – people will often know what we are thinking in our heart. Our tongue is very unruly sometimes and it is good to pray now and then to ask God if He would put a guard over the door of our mouth.
I pray that God will tame my tongue and guard the door of my mouth how about you, would you like to do that?
* If you do – I pray that your tongue will Bless someone today *

Rejoice in being Corrected
Oil Painting by J.M.R.Larman.
Proverbs: 24
He who spares the rod
hates his son
but he who loves him
is careful to discipline him.
*****
This does not mean that we should go about hitting our children with a rod until they cower before us. It does mean that we must discipline them in a way that they will understand not to do that bad thing again. As children of God did you know that God disciplines us? Because He loves us He is constantly correcting us, that is how it should be with us and our natural children. They must not be allowed to do just as they like, when and how they like, neither can we in God’s Kingdom. Today let us rejoice that Our Father in Heaven loves us so much that He disciplines us with love.
From the book ‘Drink from the Cup’by J.M.R.Larman.
*****
Being disciplined by our Parents is not a joyful thing but it is meant to teach us something.
Well if we do not listen or change our ways we go round and round doing the same thing until at last we decide that it is not worth aggregating people or friends.
We have to stop wanting our own way if we are doing something wrong.
Today let us think before we do something awful.
Let us stop so that we need not get chastised by our parents or friends or even chastised from our Heavenly Father for committing some awful sin.
*
Also we may like to think how best to chastise our children, whether they be young or older. Sometimes they still need us to correct them but mostly with love.
Have a lovely Day.
* Remember – Jesus Loves Us *
