Do our Ears Listen?

Proverbs:  Chapter 18 verse 15

The heart of the discerning

acquires knowledge;

the ears of the wise seek it out.

*

Dear God I pray today that we may have a more discerning heart,

a heart that yearns for knowledge of you God.

Let our ears listen to your voice

and may we be wiser today

than yesterday to seek your ways.  Amen.

Taken from the Book ‘Drink from the Cup’

How about that then?  We all do have EARS but do we actually use them as they should be used?  I mean do we really listen when someone is talking to us or do their words go in one ear and straight out the other?

Ears are meant for us to LISTEN – if we listen properly we may even learn something that we had not known before, that means that hopefully we may be a bit wiser than we were yesterday.

As Christians we are supposed to LISTEN to God our Heavenly Father but how many times do we take time to sit and pray?  Apart from talking to Him with all our wants and maybe complaints about the situation that we are in at the time do we then wait and hear what He would like to say to us?  Well no we don’t – mostly when we do pray we then get up and have a cuppa and start with what ever we want to do for the day.

This is where we need a discerning HEART to listen to God during our Prayer Time.  He is always there, He never sleeps and The Holy Spirit who is in us will help us with our Prayers.

Remember Jesus LOVES us and would like us to have more Knowledge, Wisdom and Discernment but the only way is to read the Holy Bible, even just a bit each day is sometimes enough to learn something else.  Then it is good to share with our Christian friends any new thing that we understand that we did not know before.

With the Knowledge and Wisdom that we have learnt

we can then share some of it with Children or young people.

Have a Lovely Day.

May God our Heavenly Father Bless us

today as we gain more

Wisdom and Knowledge in our daily lives.

Knowledge

Proverbs:  Chapter 1  verse 7

The fear of The LORD is the beginning

of knowledge

but fools despise wisdom

and instruction.

*

I think I shall ask The LORD for more knowledge and wisdom today.  I do not want to be a fool.  I pray that I do have the fear of The LORD and I certainly do not despise wisdom and knowledge.  For my part I know that I do love wisdom and knowledge.

I do know that I definitely need more!

Thank you LORD God that you continue to fill me afresh each day.

Also with the knowledge and love of Jesus.

Blue Feather

Well then what are we waiting for, just think we are priviliged to be able to ask God our Heavenly Father for more knowledge and wisdom.

Then of course we are to use it to the best of the ability  that God gives us.

A good thing to ask for as well is discernment……so that we can discern what we are about to do at any particular time in our livcs.  Day by day we need help with the decisions that we are to make in our every day living.  We live only by the grace of God.  As we said last time our God is an Awesome God.  Just to think He alone gives us the knowlege and wisdom that we need to live our everyday lives here on this earth.

What a privelidge it is to belong to the one true Living God who is our Heavenly Father.

I pray that you recieve  ‘The Peace of The Lord” today in your heart, through Jesus Christ our Lord.    Especially if you are a Christian living with The Holy Spirit dwelling in you where ever you are at the moment.

Have a lovely Day

Wisdom – do you have it?

Eagle Animation1

James: Chapter 1 verse 5

If any of you lacks wisdom,

he should ask God,

who gives generously to all

without finding fault

and it will be given to him.

I love wisdom, how about you?  How ever naive or unskilled we are, if we ask God for wisdom He gives it to us  –  the above verse says  –  generously.  We can all be wise but we must remember to ask for wisdom, what a privilege to be able to ask and receive!

The above is taken from the Book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.

Yellow Scroll

Here us a nice clean Scroll……. we do need Wisdom to be able to write something sensible on it.  Just a small amount of Wisdom is all we need to write something.  But to write something really important or to try to judge what is right or wrong we need maybe a bit more Wisdom.

Remember – Solomon aked God for Wisdom – you can read about Solomon in – (1Kings: Chapter 3) in your Holy Bible.

Wisdom helps us to make wise decisions which was something that Solomon was able to do when he had to intervene in a dispute by the two women.

Let us try to be wise today and each day as we continue to walk in peace and love with each other while we live on this earth.

I Pray that God will bless you with extra Wisdom when you need it – but – yes there is a but – and that but is that you need to Ask before you can receive.

* Have a lovely Day *

* God Bless you *

Fear of The Lord

fools despise wisdom

So let us just think where are we really going to get this knowledge and wisdom from……well I think it does help to read our Bible  because it has been written for our learning. Therefore if we decide not to read, then we are limiting our brains to absorb knowledge and wisdom from the Apostles and followers of Jesus that are written about in the most Holy Book.

Lots of them were not clever people but with the account of their lives we can learn from their mistakes. (Hopefully we can!)

So where does the FEAR come from then?

You see we are not to be afraid of our God because He is the God of Love.  Our only fear is to be that we really don’t acknowledge Him as we should and that we don’t always walk in the knowledge that He is our Heavenly Father and He Loves us even more than our earthly fathers love us.

We do fear being chastised by our earthly fathers and need to realize that our Heavenly Father does chastise us too.

So that FEAR OF THE LORD

is that we DO NOT need to be

FRIGHTENED OF THE LORD OUR GOD.

*****

I hope you have a lovely day walking in the Love and Knowledge, Wisdom and Joy of our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Heavenly Father.
