Mark Chapter 10 verses 13-16
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them but the Disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it”. And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

How do you feel about little children?
Do you love them or think they are just a nuisance. You may not have any yourself – but – just think they are all around us in this world.
How dare people abuse them.
Everyone who hurts a little child (apart from chastising them) will have to give account one day to God – Our Father in Heaven, who will judge them according to what they have done.

Jesus may weep oceans of tears for all the little children that are not blessed with loving people to look after them.
Babies when born are helpless and unable to look after themselves if left they will just die, they are not like some of the creatures that are born ready to feed and fend for themselves.
So we do need to realize that Children are precious, they can bring us much pleasure when we find time to care for them. That also includes Teenagers – they are still our children and need our care and support.

Proverbs: Chapter 11 verse 11
Through the blessing of the upright
a city is exalted
but by the mouth of the wicked
it is destroyed.

Just think right where you are, you can be a blessing to the city or town that you live in. In your own community you can be a blessing, by praying and being in the love of Jesus day by day. We are not all called to go out to be a prominent person in our community but by prayer and supplication we as Christians can make a great difference in the city around us. Today let us pray for the place that we live in for peace to prevail and for the mouth of the wicked to be cleansed.

So in a special way we can have the Keys of the City in our hearts to pray for the place that we are living in. It may not matter if it is a Great City or a Small Country Town. Jesus will hear our prayers when we really pray for our place where with live to be Blessed.
No Prayer is wasted if it is prayed truly from our heart not just to pray idle words but words that we really mean what we are praying for.
Can we say Bless The Lord oh my Soul and enter into that place of Prayer for our City or Town. Let us Pray that Peace will Prevail, Justice be done, Joy & Love to be Blessings for the people who live in and around us. Let us ask our Father in Heaven to Bless the Children, the young ones, the teenagers, the adults, even our Pets, the animals in our City or Town.
Remember that the mouth of the wicked will want to destroy all the above, so we need to pray. Also remember James 5 in verse 16…….. that the Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Man accomplishes much.

Thank God for His Grace

John: Chapter 4 verse 22
Samaritans worship what you do not know;
we worship what we do know,
for salvation is from the Jews.

Jesus said the above and it is true, so we do need to pray for the Jew’s and thank God for His Grace that He receives us Gentiles into Salvation. Let us be thankful today for the incredible love of Our Father in Heaven.
So the above gives us food for thought – as most people think it not necessary to pray for the Jews. We must remember that a lot of them are not Christians, they do need our Prayers. Yes the Jew’s are God’s chosen people but many have rejected Jesus and that is very sad as they do not recognize Him as their Saviour and Lord of Lords.
We are very fortunate that God our Heavenly Father accepts us Gentiles into Salvation when we acknowledge Jesus Christ His Son to be Lord of our lives and invite Him into our Hearts. And what a Blessing that He allows His Holy Spirit to be with us – Praise The Lord.
So: Let us submit ourselves afresh today to Our Father in Heaven.
Let us walk in the Love of Jesus
and
in Fellowship with The Holy Spirit.

Do our Ears Listen?
Proverbs: Chapter 18 verse 15
The heart of the discerning
acquires knowledge;
the ears of the wise seek it out.

Dear God I pray today that we may have a more discerning heart,
a heart that yearns for knowledge of you God.
Let our ears listen to your voice
and may we be wiser today
than yesterday to seek your ways. Amen.

How about that then? We all do have EARS but do we actually use them as they should be used? I mean do we really listen when someone is talking to us or do their words go in one ear and straight out the other?
Ears are meant for us to LISTEN – if we listen properly we may even learn something that we had not known before, that means that hopefully we may be a bit wiser than we were yesterday.
As Christians we are supposed to LISTEN to God our Heavenly Father but how many times do we take time to sit and pray? Apart from talking to Him with all our wants and maybe complaints about the situation that we are in at the time do we then wait and hear what He would like to say to us? Well no we don’t – mostly when we do pray we then get up and have a cuppa and start with what ever we want to do for the day.
This is where we need a discerning HEART to listen to God during our Prayer Time. He is always there, He never sleeps and The Holy Spirit who is in us will help us with our Prayers.
Remember Jesus LOVES us and would like us to have more Knowledge, Wisdom and Discernment but the only way is to read the Holy Bible, even just a bit each day is sometimes enough to learn something else. Then it is good to share with our Christian friends any new thing that we understand that we did not know before.
With the Knowledge and Wisdom that we have learnt
we can then share some of it with Children or young people.

Exodus: Chapter 11 verse 9
The LORD had said to Moses,
“Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you –
so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt”

Do you realize that even today The LORD is still performing His wonders.
If you do not know what is going on in this day and age,
please find a spirit filled church and read some of the reports that are coming in from around the world.
It is incredible what The LORD is doing.
The same now as 2000 years ago, healing the sick,
giving sight to the blind,
bringing people out of darkness into His Kingdom of Light.
The list goes on.
Remember He needs us and wants us to participate with The Holy Spirit
to accomplish the same works that Jesus did on earth.

We are very fortunate that The Lord Jesus uses Doctors, Nurses, Specialists and many other people to help with healing us for our bodies.
But remember that we need to submit ourselves to our Heavenly Father to receive the blessings that is in store for us and for Jesus to heal our Soul, our mind our thinking.
Let us try to listen to God our Heavenly Father for instructions each day to live a good life living in the Kingdom of God while we are on this earth.
Maybe we can Pray for God’s Wonders to be in our lives and the lives of our family and loved ones, let us not be like Pharaoh who refused to listen, remember what happened to him and to his Kingdom. If you are not sure then you can find the reading of the Exodus in your Bible.

Jesus is Alive
Easter time is Special – it is good to remember that:-
Jesus is Alive He has Risen from the dead and He is Alive!

Psalm 26 verse 2
Test me, O Lord and try me, examine my heart and my mind;

Have you ever asked The Lord to examine your heart and mind? It makes you wonder when He examines us what will He find? I think it best to try to have a look into our own hearts before we ever ask The Lord to take a look. Our minds are sometimes a minefield, full of things that they should not be full of. We best get rid of some of the awful things that seem to come into our hearts and minds before we ask God to examine them. Maybe best to start straight away! Let me see have I let go of worry, anger? Oh dear seems a lot of rubbish in there that should not be there, how about you?

God made everyone according to a pattern.
So we are made,
according to pattern.

What about Moses?
Malachi: Chapter 4 verse 4.
Remember the law of my servant Moses,
the decrees and laws
I gave Him at Horeb for all Israel.

Do you remember the law that was given to Moses, we know that as Christians we live by grace now and not by law. However we do need to live according to the Commandments that were given to Moses.
If we break one we may as well have broken the lot because in the eyes of God – sin is sin however large or small.
I am thankful that we can ask Jesus to forgive us and that He does, especially as we go before God asking for all that we seem to ask Him for!

I have put a picture of a Scroll on here today to remind us that the Ten Commandments may have been put on a Scroll to be read out to people.
Moses of course brought them down from the mountain on the tablets that had been written “with the finger of God”
We are very fortunate that we can read them in our Holy Bible (Exodus 31:18) it is good to check them out once in a while to see what we should be doing and possibly not what we are doing.
One of them says ‘that you should have no other Gods”
So what other Gods do we have in our lives…. maybe some sort of Idols, or maybe the love of money, food, gossip, television, there are lots of things that take priority in our lives instead of living a godly life with the love of Jesus and walking with the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. One thing is to love our neighbour as ourselves (difficult that one – if we are not keen about talking to some people) even family members.
It really is a Christian challenge to try to keep the Ten Commandments isn’t it?
Let us Pray that we can become more Godly day by Day walking in the Love of The Lord.
May God our Heavenly Father Bless us Today

Today is a good day to not do anything that is evil, that is let us try not to do any bad thing today. I know that it is very difficult sometimes not to use swear words, or to shout at our loved ones or to make someone cry! Let us try to be kind today. Let us be kind to those that The Lord brings before us. It may be a stranger that we meet while shopping or travelling on our holiday.
If we can help someone without expecting anything in return that is good.
Anything that is good is not evil in the sight of God our Heavenly Father.
God our Heavenly Father protects us wherever we go i.e. down the street, or next door to neighbours, on holiday, or in the workplace just about anywhere. But we loose that protection if we go and join in where evil lurks. God will chastise us, remember He is our Heavenly Father – we are His children, so like our earthly Father would choose to chastise us so will He. (Not a good feeling if we have done wrong when we belong to the Kingdom of God).
There we are then – just a thought that we may like to consider, so that we can continue to have the protection for ourselves and our families. Today and always.

We are not alone.
John: Chapter: 16 verse 31
……..Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
…
As Christians we know that God our Father is with us.
When Jesus went back to Heaven He sent His Holy Spirit to be with us – to teach, comfort and also to fellowship with us.
Where The Holy Spirit is, there also are The Father and The Son.
Just think how blessed we are – we are never alone!

So if you are feeling lonely today, stop and think for a while, make a cup of coffee, tea or a favourite drink. Then sit quietly and thank The Lord for all the Blessings that He has allowed and is giving us each day.
Let us think do we have food and shelter, are we blessed with a Husband, Wife and children or good friends or even a special Pet that we can rely on and talk to when we need help or a shoulder to cry on.
Well we may have so many Blessings that is is difficult to count them all and yet………we still feel lonely.
Why oh! why do we feel like that ?……
While we sit quietly let us remember that Jesus must have felt very lonely at times when people did not understand Him. Sometimes He went off to a special place to pray on His own to His Father in Heaven until He felt better about things…….Jesus who’s Father is in Heaven is also our Father who we can go to at any time of the day or night if we are a Christian.
So let us try not to be lonely today, talk to The Holy Spirit and ask Him to comfort you and guide you out of that feeling of loneliness into the Joy of The Lord. Maybe put on some cheerful music – remember we need the Spirit of Praise for the Spirit of Heaviness. Then the spirit of loneliness will begin to go away and we can get on with our day in a cheerful way.
Maybe have another Cuppa!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is another day for us to walk in righteousness,
to walk in true life on our way to immortality,
to eternity.
Walk in righteousness with Jesus today,
tell Him you love Him and look forward
to the day when we walk in Heaven with Him.

Well what does it mean then to walk in righteousness?
I think it means that we should be careful what we say and do, especially in front of our little children and also in the presence of our grown up family and friends. Children mainly only know what they are taught, so we do need to try to teach them the right way to live. That surely would be walking in righteousness for us to show them how.
We all make mistakes and cannot be perfect all the time, however we can say sorry if we have said or done the wrong thing. Jesus forgives us when we repent and say with are sorry, then of course we can feel free of any guilt that we have said or done the wrong thing and hopefully remember not to do it again.
Yes Children need to be taught to do the right thing – also they need to be taught to say the word sorry to their friends and family, even as we need to do so.
I hope you have a lovely day trying to walk in Righteousness with The Lord, remember The Holy Spirit will help you if you ask Him – especially if you are struggling with any problems regarding your walk with Jesus.
