Excellent Food
John 4: verse 34
“My Food” said Jesus,
“is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work”

This is what we need to say as well,
that our food is truly our work for God.
When we work for God we feel content and filled with goodness.
Let us try to finish the work that He wants us to do,
so that we shall feel fed with Heavenly food.

Well we all like excellent food……so apart from our Bible reading, it is nice to choose something nice to eat.
We are very fortunate that we can choose something for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I do like my hot dinner at night because of working during the day, then it is good to sit down to something nice to eat. Maybe you like to do the same. Our body needs nurishment as well as our spirit, so we can eat and enjoy what The Lord supplies for our meals each day.

Do we have the beginning of Wisdom today?
Let us hope so, then we shall begin to understand our Heavenly Father more and more each day not being fearful but having a reverent respect and fear of Him, following His precepts and walking in His love.

Yes Prayer does change things…….. If you are a Christian do you remember to Pray ? …….. There are so many things to pray for when you begin to think about it.
Here are a few things we need to pray for: Our families, friends, especialy our Blessings that our Father in Heaven allows us to have – like food and water also shelter. We need to pray for the animals, also for all creation. Even to pray for one thing would be a great start if you have not been used to praying for a while.

How is our Heart Today?

Matthew: 15 v 19-20
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man ‘unclean’ but eating with unwashed hands does not make him’unclean’

As we travel through today let us let go of all evil thoughts, how can we possibly be ‘clean’ if we harbour hatred, jealousy, bitterness and strife in our hearts. Dear God please continue to cleanse me with the blood of the Lamb. Help me to banish all unclean things from my heart. Wash me clean Lord of evil things today. Amen.

Well what do you think about the above passage – it gives us food for thought dosn’t it.
I think we all have bad thoughts that come into our hearts and minds sometime and it is hard to get rid of them. Especally if the thoughts are do do with family. Or maybe we get tempted to do something that we should not do but still do it. Then we feel guilty and really need to repent because of our sin. Jesus does forgive us when we pray and really mean that we are sorry, also hopefully not repeat the same thing again.
When we repent it helps to keep our heart clean from all unrightesness so that God will hear our prayers because He does like a clean heart free of all the things mentioned in the above Scipture.

This was part of Zechariah’s Song after the birth of his Son John. Now we can’t all be prophet’s as you know but we can in our own way prepare the way of The Lord. How you may ask, well, we can sing praises (the devil dosn’t like that, he has to get out of the way) so that helps to prepare the way, we can pray, we can do lots of things. This is a good day to ask The Lord what He would expecially like you do to prepare the way for Him today. Jesus wil bless you as you serve Him.

We as Christians cannot pay honour to anything of Satan. Yes people will be enraged at our attitude but we best stick with Jesus so that we do not anger The LORD God Almighty. We best fear The LORD not the devil so that we have diving protection from all wrong things today and forever. Amen.

So what are we going to do today when we get a bit cross about something or cross with someone. We need to think twice before getting angry and maybe doing or saying something that we would regret. Remember words said in anger cannot be taken back, once said our words are out in the world and the devil would be so pleased to hear us being angry and not respecting our Heavenly Father. We do not have Heavenly Protection when we blaspheme and say bad things to our Brothers, Sisters and family and friends.
Best thing is to ask The Holy Spirit to help if we find ourselves in an awkward situation, hold our tongue and wait before getting too angry, otherwise we will be bowing down to someone or something that is not Holy. Then we would not have our Divine Protection and things could get worse. So Praise The Lord as being a Christian we are able to ask The Holy Spirit to help us.!

Do you think it is a good thing to submit ourselves to God our Heavenly Father each day?
What would we do if we did not acknowledge God each day? Where do we think our Blessings would come from if we did not believe in Jesus God’s Son and The Holy Spirit? Just think – when we have accepted Jesus into our lives, God our Heavenly Father showers Blessings on us, that we should not take for granted.
So what Blessings do we have then – could be our families, our food, our shelter, our finance, our health, our friends, our pets. We have so much to thank God for that it is a small thing to remember to thank Him and submit ourselves afresh each day to walk in the Love of God our Father in Heaven. He allows His Angels to guard us. The Holy Spirit to help and guide us especially when we ask Him to.
So, I praise my Heavenly Father for all my Blessings. How about you – I pray that you can do that too.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith
develops perseverance.

We don’t usually face trials with joy do we? If only we could use our faith more in the difficult circumstances, persevere in faith and let God be in charge instead of ourselves, we would find life much easier. Maybe you are in a difficult situation today, remember the disciples – we must have faith even as small as a mustard seed. Let us not give up in the testing of our faith, don’t let the devil have the upper hand especially today.

Then you would never be alone because they would be always with you. The Holy Spirit is our comforter, teacher and guide, we can talk to him day or night, when Jesus went back to Heaven He sent His Holy Spirit to be with us when we invite Himself Jesus into our hearts. Have you ever thought what the word compassion means? I looked it up and it says: to be sympathetic towards others when they are suffering from anything. Then to help them if you can.
In other words I believe it means to show Christian love towards that person whoever it is who maybe sad or lonely. Just a smile or a kind word may be all they need at the time. That really is showing compassion towards them. You may not need to do anything else at the time but what a blessing it can be to show someone that you care about how they are feeling.
Also we can pray for others – that God will bless them.

Pray for Lost Souls.
I know that your heart grieves God for all those lost souls who have not come to the knowledge and love of Jesus yet. I pray Lord God that you will allow your Holy Spirit to move around them to somehow soften their hard hearts towards you. I pray today that Christians will be able to speak out of the love of Jesus so that those who are not saved will indeed begin to wonder what they are missing out on. I pray that today many souls will come into Salvation throughout the world.
Help us as Christians to reach out to those who are in the world, help us to reach out with love, joy and peace to who-ever you bring before us today. May your signs and miracles continue through out the world as a sure witness that Jesus is alive, that He lives for ever and ever with you God Our Father in Heaven. Bless all who come before us today God and also please bless me so that I too can be a blessing for others. Amen.

Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD;
keep watch over the door of my lips.

Sometimes I think it is a good thing to ask The LORD to put a guard over my mouth to stop me saying something wrong and then wishing that I had not said it. As Christians we must be very careful what we say to others so that we do not offend them because in doing so we offend God if we do not speak righteously. Today please God guard my mouth, the door of my lips and my speaking. Amen.
