Grace and Knowledge
2 Peter: Chapter 3 verse 18
But grow in the grace
and knowledge
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To Him be Glory both now and forever.
Amen.
Isn’t it lovely to think that we can grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus. Today as we learn and read more about Him let us ask God Our Father to allow us more grace to really know His Son Jesus, our Saviour, more and more. Amen.
From the Book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.
*****
I wonder if we have grace and knowledge – how are we using it?
*****
The Lord has given us knowledge – however it is good for us to try and increase that knowledge day by day. We can do that by learning something new i.e. a new craft or by reading we can really expand our knowledge.
It is good to have a vision or a dream of something that we would like to do –
so we will need knowledge to bring that to fruition.
As for Grace – well we need grace to have patience with our family and friends.
We need to have Grace that only The Lord can give us as we continue to live in this world with Peace and Love that we have when we walk with Jesus day by day.
With Grace and Knowledge we can give Glory to God our Heavenly Father for all the Blessings that he gives us day by day.
Even if there is only one small thing in your day today that you are happy and content with –
that is a small start to be thankful for.
*God Bless You Today with the Grace and Love of Jesus*

Are we Humble?
1 Peter: Chapter 5 verse 6
Humble yourselves,
therefore, under God’s mighty hand,
that He may lift you up in due time.
*****
Do you realize that when we do humble ourselves, to God – He does lift us up out of what ever situation we are in. If only we would remember and pray more humbly and quickly when we are in a difficult situation we shall be delivered out of it much sooner.
Taken from the Book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.
*****
So are we HUMBLE – WHAT DOES IT MEAN? –
Well it could mean being modest, meek, respectful, also other things of course.
But to start off with it makes us think – are we being respectful of our elders, our friends and especially respectful of our own children and brothers and sisters?
It is not easy to be HUMBLE – we cannot always easily be MEEK, we want things our own way, likewise how about being MODEST?. Modest could mean to dress appropriately for whatever circumstances we are going to be in for the day. To be clean and tidy in our appearance. Also not to show off parts of our body in an unholy way. To show respect for other peoples feelings.
Let us be humble enough to listen while others talk to us, not to keep interrupting and putting words into their mouths. Wait to hear what they are really saying – not what we think they are saying……we may even learn something from them.
Today: let us practice being HUMBLE
Have a lovely day today – may The Lord Jesus help us all to be more humble in our daily living…..that of course means myself as well as other Christians.
* GOD BLESS YOU *

Let us Talk to Each Other
3 John Chapter 1 verse 14
I hope to see you soon
and we will talk
face to face.
*****
John said the above while writing to his friends and I was just thinking it would be lovely to talk face to face with you. It is lovely when we as Christians can talk to each other about the love of Jesus isn’t it? As I can’t see you today to talk to I would like to say that I hope you have a lovely day, God Bless You.
Taken from the Book ‘Drink from the Cup” by J.M.R.Larman.
*****
Well – as you can see on here, I can’t talk to you face to face, so I have put the scroll at the top of the page to remind us that even if we cannot talk face to face we can still communicate by writing to each other. Even if it is only at special times like Birthdays or Christmas etc., It is still something special to receive a word from a friend.
Then again we can keep in touch by telephone, e-mail, or Skype or Facebook or Twitter etc., etc.,
There is no limit now to how we can keep in touch with family and friends and as Christians that is a really good thing to do.
But how often do we go on our merry way thinking we will get in touch tomorrow or later and sometimes tomorrow never comes. Have we missed out on talking (not face to face) but talking especially to our loved ones, even to say ‘Hello” maybe the only friendly words they have heard that day.
Yes face to face the ideal way – many of us are far away – so let us pray that today would be a really good day to say that ‘Hello’ to someone we may have been meaning to and have not got around to it.
Anyway it is lovely to talk to you like this – so I hope you have had time to read and know that yes it would be lovely for me to talk to you FACE to FACE.
* GOD BLESS YOU TODAY *
I pray that you have a lovely day.

A Phantom?
Yes I painted it……just copied from one of my Paintings….
I thought it looked a bit Phantom like as it has come out a bit fuzzy on here.
Psalm 39 verse 6
Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro:
he bustles about but only in vain;
he heaps up wealth,
not knowing who will get it.
*****
Instead of heaping up wealth and belongings let us gladly help our brothers and sisters when they are in need. Don’t wait until you die to leave your inheritance to your children, help them when they need help. As you bless others you will be even more blessed, remember you will never out give God. Every time you bless someone you will feel blessed and you will be blessed.
From Book: ‘Drink from the Cup’. by J.M.R.Larman.
*
Well – that is an odd thing to think about i.e. what are we going to do with our THINGS when we leave this earth. We can’t do any thing about them when we have gone – so maybe a good idea to think about what to do while we are still able to. (This applies to us older people!!!!!!)
All our THINGS are our children or families inheritance. So as some of us get that bit older we can of course give some of our possessions away either to family or to friends or to charity shops as the case may be.
Finance is an odd thing to think about giving away but we could help by giving donations sometimes to help others who are in need.
Also if we have families who are bringing up their children they may be pleased to accept a financial gift. If it is embarrassing to offer – then it could be done at Christmas, Birthday or Holiday time for them to receive some finance from us that would help.
Yes we are not on this earth really very long, which brings to mind a lovely song I learnt as a child: not sure what it is called now but some of the words are: ( May my living not be in vain ), let our living be of use while we are here, even to just help one person I am sure God our Heavenly Father will be glad.
Allelujah
* Have a Lovely Day God Bless You *

Peace be with you
This a lovely peacefull scene of an ‘Oil Painting’ that I Painted.
Acts: Chapter 8 verse 4.
Those who had been scattered
preached the word
wherever they went.
*
Today will be a good day for us to preach the Word, even in a small way. If we tell someone about Jesus today it will help forward the Gospel of Peace.
Taken from Book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by: J.M.R.Larman.
*
Just to think that we as Christians have a great responibility to let people know about Jesus wherever we are. Maybe on holiday or while we are shopping, sometimes an opportunity will arise that we can say something about the Peace of The Lord.
For instance we can say God Bless you to people
(now that is not too hard to say is it)?
By saying just a simple thing like that helps to show that you believe that God is real. We cannot all preach the word like some can but we can do our part and that helps to spread The Word.
We can let someone know that Jesus loves them, especially if they are in any kind of need.
To show others that you care about them and their everyday life is a great blessing to some people.
So whereever we are scattered about in this world – we, as Christians are to do our best to encourage others to come to know The Lord Jesus and especially our Heavenly Father God.
I pray you have a lovely day and that God will bring before you those who He would like you to talk to today.
Also that The Holy Spirit
will help you to do so.
* God Bless You with Peace –
for caring about others *

Do we Understand?
This my “Oil Painting” of an Eagle.
Psalm 53 verse 2
God looks down from heaven
on the sons of men
to see if there are any
who understand,
any who seek God.
*****
Are we seeking God today, are we asking His help today. Do we care about God today? Are we trusting in God for all our needs today?
He is looking to see!
From Book: “Drink from the Cup” by J.M.R.Larman
*****
The above Psalm gives us food for thought don’t you think?
I mean are we really asking God (our Father in Heaven) for His help today. Do we really care or think to thank Him for all His blessings towards us.
Do we trust God today as we go about our daily chores, our work or whatever we are doing or wherever we are going to.?
He does want us to trust Him,
to ask for His help for the things we need today.
If we are a Christian we can come to The Father through Jesus Christ His Son.
When you think of it Jesus did say that the only way to the Father is through the Son…….that is Him – Jesus.
In John Chapter 14 verse 6. Jesus says: (I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to The Father except through me)
I pray that we try to Understand God a bit more today.
Have a Lovely day walking in a fresh Understanding of God our Heavenly Father.
* May God Bless us as we try to do so. Amen *

Grace today
Kingfisher – Oil Painting by J.M.R. Larman.
*
Galatians: Chapter 1 verse 3
Grace and peace to you
from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ.
*****
It is lovely today to know the grace and peace that can only come from God and Jesus. If you have a spare minute right now, sit and receive that wonderful peace, remember – ask and you shall receive.
Taken from book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R. Larman.
*****
Have you ever just sat quietly on your own to try to receive that peace that comes from God our Heavely Father. It is worth a try – after all what can you loose when you find time to sit without the tele on or the radio on or any of the family around.
It can seem quite odd
if you have never sat quietly
on your own
but it is worth a try.
If you are indoors – sit in your favourite chair, if you are outside maybe in the garden find somewhere to sit on your own. Wherever you decide to be – look around where you are and begin to feel the peace in your heart even if it is only for a few minutes.
Try to sit a little longer, all the chores of the day will not run away, they will still be there for you to do. So treat yourself to a bit of quiet time to receive the Grace and Peace of The Lord.
Have a lovely Day.
(The Peace of The Lord is beyond our understanding)

Flawless ?
Psalm 12 verse 6
And the words of The Lord
are flawless,
like silver
refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
***
What about our words – could we say they are flawless, I think not, most of the time we are very careless with our words. Let us ask The Holy Spirit to speak through us and help us to curb our tongue, so that we may be more purified in our speaking.
Taken from book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ by J.M.R.Larman.
***
Well that is a bit of a big problem about our words being flawless.
Flawless means: a mark, blemish, or other imperfection.
So how does that relate to our speech – maybe because we are careless in speaking unholy words i.e. swear words, words that wound the other person in some way when we are cross with them. Words that hurt and not words that heal a situation.
We really nearly always speak out without thinking of what we are saying, or what we need to be saying. Maybe because we speak out quickly wanting to get our point across instead of listening properly of what the other person is trying to say.
Let us pray that God our Heavenly Father will purify our words even today, not only that but our thoughts need to be flawless as well.
(Best I think to pray about that) ?????
* Well I hope we have a lovely Day Today and consider and think about being refined by The Lord in all we do and say *
God Bless You, please pass on to your Christian friends if you would like them to read this today.
Maybe we can say a kind word to someone today. Amen.
