Doing Good !

3 John: verse 11
Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good.
Anyone who does what is good is from God.
Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
Today let us not grow weary of doing good! That is a word The Lord gave me when I got a bit fed up one day and thought – what is the good of trying to help whoever it was. Then the quiet voice of The Holy Spirit said “Jessie never weary of doing good” so I pass that on to you today, please don’t grow tired of doing good. God is Good, He is Love, He is all goodness. He is the LORD!

Well the thing is – what can we do today that will be good? One of the best things of course is to Pray. But that is not what I mean, what I mean is what can we do to help someone, there are so many people that need help in the world. However our family should come first in all things.
Sometimes they make us cross by doing things that we would prefer they don’t do, especially any children that we are looking after. They can be a real trial at times. We do have to look after them though and not get fed up seeing to them. One other thing is to be good to our Parents and Grandparents, all older people should be able to find that we have time to talk to them. Some are very lonely and we can do some good today even just to say ‘Hello’ to them.
Remember you may be the only person that speaks to them today, so why not smile and say ‘Hello’ – no need to stand and talk if you are not sure what to say but just a greeting for them to hear will be a blessing that you can give.
A good thing to do is to say ‘God Bless you, have a good day’ to someone while out shopping or travelling.
So today I would like to say to you –
*’God Bless You, have a really lovely Day Today’*

Blessings !
Proverbs: Chapter 11 verse 11
Through the blessing of the upright
a city is exalted
but by the mouth of the wicked
it is destroyed.
*
Just think right where you are, you can be a blessing to the city or town that you live in. In your own community you can be a blessing, by praying and being in the love of Jesus day by day. We are not all called to go out to be a prominent person in our community but by prayer and supplication we as Christians can make a great difference in the city around us. Today let us pray for the place that we live in for peace to prevail and for the mouth of the wicked to be cleansed.
From the Book: Drink from the Cup by J.M.R. Larman.
So in a special way we can have the Keys of the City in our hearts to pray for the place that we are living in. It may not matter if it is a Great City or a Small Country Town. Jesus will hear our prayers when we really pray for our place where with live to be Blessed.
No Prayer is wasted if it is prayed truly from our heart not just to pray idle words but words that we really mean what we are praying for.
Can we say Bless The Lord oh my Soul and enter into that place of Prayer for our City or Town. Let us Pray that Peace will Prevail, Justice be done, Joy & Love to be Blessings for the people who live in and around us. Let us ask our Father in Heaven to Bless the Children, the young ones, the teenagers, the adults, even our Pets, the animals in our City or Town.
Remember that the mouth of the wicked will want to destroy all the above, so we need to pray. Also remember James 5 in verse 16…….. that the Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Man accomplishes much.

* May God Bless us today as we Pray
for the place we are living in *

Thank God for His Grace

John: Chapter 4 verse 22
Samaritans worship what you do not know;
we worship what we do know,
for salvation is from the Jews.
*
Jesus said the above and it is true, so we do need to pray for the Jew’s and thank God for His Grace that He receives us Gentiles into Salvation. Let us be thankful today for the incredible love of Our Father in Heaven.

So the above gives us food for thought – as most people think it not necessary to pray for the Jews. We must remember that a lot of them are not Christians, they do need our Prayers. Yes the Jew’s are God’s chosen people but many have rejected Jesus and that is very sad as they do not recognize Him as their Saviour and Lord of Lords.
We are very fortunate that God our Heavenly Father accepts us Gentiles into Salvation when we acknowledge Jesus Christ His Son to be Lord of our lives and invite Him into our Hearts. And what a Blessing that He allows His Holy Spirit to be with us – Praise The Lord.
So: Let us submit ourselves afresh today to Our Father in Heaven.
Let us walk in the Love of Jesus
and
in Fellowship with The Holy Spirit.
*
May God Bless us today.
Have a Lovely Day walking in the Love of The Lord.

Grow in Grace
2 Peter Chapter 3 verse 18
“Grow in grace
and in the knowledge
of our LORD
and Saviour Jesus Christ”.
*****
One of the best ways to grow in grace and knowledge of God is to read The Bible> Getting things second hand is not a good idea and really dosn’t get us very far. So…..if you are not reading your Bible, Today is a very good time to start.
However if you are reading your Bible daily, then I pray that you will continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
The above is from the book ‘Drink from the Cup’ by: J.M.R. Larman.
*****
The rest of verse eightteen says … To Him be Glory both now and forever! Amen.
So that should make us think – what are we doing even today to give God our Father in Heaven any Glory.
Well what can I do? Not too sure about that – I could try to be good! (Well there is always hope!) I could be nice to some one. I could tell someone about the Gospel of Jesus. I could phone or write to someone to bless them if they have been waiting a long time for me to keep in touch. I could cook someone a nice meal…..we are supposed to show hospitality to people especially if we do happen to be a Christian.
All the above would give Glory to God if we actually manage to do any of them.
One of the best things I suppose is to make sure that we read something in the Holy Bible each day. It does not have to take long even a few minutes would be better than none at all.
Best of all is to have a special time to sit with God each day – to read His word and thank Him for the Salvation that Jesus has allowed us to have.
Let us soar on Eagles Wings to Heavenly places while we sit and pray – especially The Lords Prayer – I am sure that would be acceptable to God if you are not sure how else to pray.
* May you Grow in Grace each day as you sit with our God *
Amen.
