Ripple on a Pond.
The above is one of my Oil Paintings…..yes it has a pond on it so thought it would good on here.
Job: Chapter 1 – verse 21.
“Naked I came from my mothers’ womb and naked I shall depart.
The Lord gave and The LORD has taken away:
may the name of The LORD be praised”
***
The above was said by Job and it is true, naked we came into this world and naked we shall leave it. So while we are here let us bless those around us as best we can especially our family. Let us see them enjoy some of the assets we would eventually leave them when we die by giving now while we are alive. Let us share in their enjoyment. Maybe it could be just a special little heirloom we are saving for them, or, maybe finance we are saving for them. If they are in need as some young families are, let us be gracious and try to help. Today let us remember – we cannot take anything with us when we go, that also includes our love. let them know you love them. Our families do need our love more than maybe they or we realize. The LORD surely blesses us as we bless others.
Today let us think on our nakedness before The LORD.

Here is the Poem that I wrote about being a Ripple on a Pond…
Are You a Ripple on a Pond. ?
Are you a Ripple on a Pond?
Do you see what I see? Can you pray for those who cannot pray?
Will you pray for those who cannot see? Are you a Ripple on a Pond.?
Like a pebble thrown into the middle, our prayers can go out and around
in a never ending and expanding circle. Are you a ripple on a pond?
Do you see beyond the horizon? Will your words or works reach out
in that never ending circle of prayer? I pray I am a Ripple on a Pond.
My prayers going forth throughout the world, for those lost souls to be gathered in
and for everyone of them to be cleansed from sin.
Do try to be a Ripple, even starting with a trickle, of prayer and praise.
Like a pebble creating waves on a Pond, may your Prayers go forward even beyond.
So are you a Ripple on a Pond?
With prayers, reach far beyond all that you see. Look and use your spiritual eyes for Jesus.
Do something for Him that really, really pleases.

Love Disciplines (Corrects) !
Proverbs 13 verse 24
He who spares the rod hates his son
but
he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
***
This does not mean that we should go about hitting our children with a rod until they cower before us. It does mean that we must discipline them in a way that they will understand not to do that bad thing again.
As children of God did you know that God disciplines us?
Because He loves us He is constantly correcting us, that is how it should be with us and our natural children.
They must not be allowed to do just as they like, when and how they like, neither can we in God’s Kingdom.
Today let us rejoice that Our Father in Heaven loves us so much that He disciplines us with love.

Faithfulness ?

Psalm 115 verse 1
Not to us, O LORD,
not to us but to Your Name for the Glory,
because of Your love and faithfulness.
*****
I give you the glory today O LORD because of your love and faithfulness to me,
I thank you for all your blessings to me,
I am so blessed by you and by Jesus and by your Holy Spirit.
*****

So what does faithfulness mean then?…………. It could be that we are trustworthy, loyal to each other. Also it could mean to keep a promise – to be faithful to the one we made a promise to.
So, have we made a promise to God our Heavenly Father by inviting Jesus into our life. If so we need to be faithful and give God the Glory that He sent His Son Jesus to be our Saviour while we are on this earth.
What a privilege to be a Christian to share in God’s love for us and His faithfulness towards us.
Then to give Him the Glory for all our Blessings – large or small – for we are truly Blessed.

Do you like Comfort?
On the Wings of an Eagle let your Spirit Soar.
Psalm 34 verse 18
The LORD is close to the broken-hearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
***
We all get broken-hearted and crushed in our spirit at sometime during our lives here on this earth. Let us remember to come to God at those times, sit at His feet, give Him our burdens and He will comfort us by His Holy spirit, whom Jesus sent to be our comforter. Today if this is a day of any sort of burden for you, please know that God is very close to you.

What else can we say about comfort?
Sometimes it is nice to just have a cup of tea, that can be a comfort when we get a bit stressed with whatever is going on during the day.
We should make time to have some kind of comfort for ourselves …… that can be things that give us pleasure, maybe going for a walk, gardening, craft work anything that we are able to do and enjoy doing can be called a comfort I think. For myself I like to do ‘Oil Paintings, Water colours, Pen/Ink drawings – they can be called my comfort zone. Also the books that I write can take me out of the everyday world into the lovely world of writing.
Another kind of comfort is to curl up in bed when we are not feeling very well. That is a great comfort to lay there and pray for the sickness or painfulness to go away. As we lay there in our comfort zone it is a good time to pray for others who maybe in need of some prayer, then some of our discomfort goes away!
Remember – The Holy Spirit is our Comforter…… however – we do need to ask Him to comfort us and He will. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to help us, guide us and comfort us. That is a marvelous thing to remember when we are in need of any kind of help or comfort.
Praise The Lord He can comfort us, wherever we may be in this world.

It’s Good to be a Christian
In the Bible Paul says .. in –
Romans Chapter 1 verse 16.
“I’m not ashamed of the Gospel
because it’s the Power of God
unto salvation to those who believe.”
***
If you are a Christian that is marvellous and I can say God Bless you.
If you are not a Christian and would like to be one here below is a way to become one.
If you do really mean that you would like Jesus to be with you – just repent of your sins – tell Him you are sorry for all the wrong things you have done throughout your life and ask Him to come into your heart (your life) and He will.
***
When we are Christians we have a direct line to God our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ His Son. That is awesome, also we have The Holy Spirit in us to help us to pray.
If you are not sure how to pray it is good to pray The Lord’s Prayer. Which you can find in your Bible:
THE LORDS PRAYER.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the Power and Glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

Let us have Faith
James: Chapter 5 verse 16
……..The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
This is taken from the Old King James version of the Holy Bible.
*****
So what does it mean ?
– Let us have Faith ! –
Well – we need to have Faith to Pray and to believe that our Prayers are heard by God our Heavenly Father.
We can pray all sorts of Prayers and of course we do, mainly for our wants, not always for our needs. There is a difference of course and God will not always answer Prayers if what we pray for is not for our own good.
However if we really need to intercede for someone or something then James Chapter 5 verse 15 says — ‘and the prayer of Faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.’ (Remember it is the Prayer of Faith) no good just asking God to do something you must have faith to believe that he can. This is where it needs to be the effective Prayer of a Righteous man (or woman)
If we are not walking with Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and with The Holy Spirit what is the use of praying prayers into space? God hears our prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord. So they need to come straight from our heart and soul to be a fervent prayer.
We must mean truly what we are asking God for, not just a flimsy prayer hoping He will hear.
Yes of course He hears our Prayers – but I believe they fall by the wayside if we are not serious about them!
But when we are in trouble I find the shortest Prayer to pray is ‘Help Lord’ yes I am sure he hears our prayers for help because we do really mean it.

* God Bless you today as you Pray in Faith – Have a Lovely Day *

The Secret Place
Psalm 139 verse 15
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
***
God made us specially in that secret place,
we must be very precious to Him.
today let us ask if there is anything special
that He would like us to do for Him
instead of asking for something for ourselves.
He must be so pleased when the creatures that He has made
show respect and love for Him and His Kingdom.
***

So what can we do that will be special today or maybe each day that will be pleasing to Our Father in Heaven. One thing we can do is to try to be kind to those who come before use each day. That would be a good thing to do.
Do you have a Special Place that you go to sometimes to Pray or talk to The Lord Jesus. Maybe a special chair to sit in to Pray or a Special Room. Or do you choose a Special Time each day to Pray. I think any of these things will be pleasing to God.
May God Bless us as we try our best to Pray to Him in that Secret Place.
Have a Lovely Day Today.
Are we Generous?
Proverbs: Chapter 11 verse 25
A generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
***
Thank you so much dear God that this verse is so true –
please allow me to refresh and help someone for you today. Amen.
***
The above is taken from the book: ‘Drink from the Cup’ here is the Link for you to see. It is a Daily Reading and can be purchased ready to start off the New Year. The book can be used each each year so will last for as long as you would like it to. (no need to throw away to purchase one each year) It would be a lovely gift also for a Christian friend……. maybe as a Christmas Gift or for yourself.
So how can we be generous to others? Well one thing is to maybe help someone today, or offer to take a friend out for the day or to treat them to a coffee for morning tea. There are lots of ways we can help someone. Even to help hang out the washing for them, take them a cooked meal or invite them to your home for a meal or afternoon tea. Not a good idea to offer money…… just help them in some way that they would appreciate your help. Perhaps take them to the shops if they are elderly or not very well or even to phone and ask how they are !….
As Christians we are to love our neighbours and these are ways that we can show the Love of The Lord Jesus. What about taking a small posy of flowers to someone living on their own. We don’t have to do something we are not comfortable with and not to do it expecting thanks. …….. So remember as we bless others we shall feel blessed by our Heavenly Father. We can pray and ask The Holy Spirit to help us choose what is best for us to do, not just today but any day that we see anyone who is in need.
*****
Have a nice Day Today……. God Bless you.
